Predictable Market for Emerald Ash Borer

Emerald Ash Borer has made for a lot of problems in the urban world when dealing with street side shade trees. I have personally dedicated a lot of my time to removing and treating the ash trees that the borer has devastated.

During the summer of 2015 and 2016, I was working under a professional arborist by the name of Jon Brown with Brown Hill Tree Co. Most of the work I did for this company consisted of taking down and treating these infected ash. I was amazed when after we got the tree on the ground, the bark peeled right off, revealing the vertical columns in which the larva burrow through. If an ash tree was very sentimental to the landowner, we would treat the tree with a systemic injection or a basal bark spray. The only problem with the treatment, is that it needs to be reapplied every three years.

I have had plenty of experience dealing with the ash borer and have seen the destruction that it leaves in its wake.
